Met Mario krijgen we één van de sterren van de modern R&B over de vloer. De Amerikaanse zanger uit Baltimore maakte reeds als tiener indruk door op zijn 14de (!) al een succesvolle debuutplaat uit te brengen. Met de single Just a friend 2002 schopte hij het tot de 4de plaats in de US Billboard Top 100.

Amper twee jaar later was het opnieuw prijs voor Mario Barrett als hij een wereldhit scoort met het fenomenale Let Me Love You. Het nummer en bijhorende album leveren hem naast twee Billboard Music Awards en een grammy-nominatie, ook een definitieve internationale doorbraak op. In 2025 komt Mario zijn nieuwe album Glad You Came voorstellen tijdens de gelijknamige wereldtournee die hem tot in Antwerpen brengt.
